THE END IS JUST THE BEGINNING

"I don't want to go.." Whimpered across my T.V. screen this weekend, and in a matter of moments another monumental scene in Doctor Who history was born. And then it occurred to me finally I must not be the only one feeling the same way about this. You see I can remember caring when no one else cared, before the days of RTD, before he wrote for the Doctor Who New Adventures line, I cared when i was just four or five years old watching the great Timelord dashing across my screen saving the world again and then changing from Tom baker into my personal favorite Peter Davison. The whole experiance is just odd for me now, like everyone I know watches or have caught it on T.V. the new series of Doctor Who, and I get flashbacks of being 16 and being at a Doctor Who costume party with like five other people from our local fan club. And I think to myself man how things change. So people are up in the air about this new fellow, well I like him (hes a Smith the Tardis needs a Smith) any way I love him just like I loved them all for the last 25 years, I even loved Paul Mcgann when and if others dont then oh well they must be Tennant fans not Doctor Who fans because if you look at what is happening right now it comes closer to classic Doctor Who than we have seen in a while. So here I am that same little boy at 5 years old looking onward and upward to series 5 filled with excitement just like I did when I saw my first regeneration, and still caring.

  1. I remember waiting for the 7th Doctor adventures to be broadcast in the U.S. on PBS & reading the target novelizations to try and get a glimpse of him. I I fondly remember reading Happiness Patrol and Silver Nemesis before I could see them in the States.

    Goodbye Tennant Fans.

I had no idea there was anything like regeneration until I saw the scene at the end of Logopolis Where Tom Baker Regenerated into Davidson. I was shocked, riveted. I remember talking about it at sunday school the next morning non stop.
